Boy what a week!! This week was filled with a lot of school work and work. I got a lot accomplished and my stress level was ever so high! My group finally met together and we were able to produce our short film, Interracial Shenanigans to present to the class on Tuesday, I can’t wait. I was able to calculate all my surveys for my independent research so by the end of the week I should be have my paper completed!

Maya Angelou was also here on campus. She was so amazing and I am glad to say that I have been able to witness a powerful poet and woman. She was very laid back and humorous. she spoke to her audience as though she has known us all her life! it was a great experience!!

The time right at this moment is 2:18am and I got off work at 12am. I can’t seem to go right to bed when I get off work, I always have to stay up for a while and attempt to watch Disney but at the same time I want to get in my bed….hmmm very strange but this is the state I am in almost every weekend, nocturnal state.

So i totally didn’t get to blog last week so let me catch you up on my busy week!

My week started out with work like always and it end with work. I was really over whelmed because I had so much to do with such a short about of time. I am still working on my senior research and my paper is coming along well, i am not just too sure about my survey but oh well i will get through it. I also have a group project project which i totally hate because some of my group members are not dependable and it is so frustrating and a waste of my time.

All i am thinking about right now is getting through all my classes and get my Degree so that i can breath a little cause right about now i feel as though i am hyperventilating. well this week is not going to be any better because i am pushing myself to get everything done this week so that i may have a rest period next week before finals begin…ugh.

Hello Blog world!!

I have to say I had a great productive week! I did not have any homework or test but I did have to work on my senior research. I passed out my surveys in two different classes and so far i have 56 participants and i need about 24 more participants then i will be good to go…yahoo!! So I got to volunteer at the West Texas Food Bank on tuesday and i have to say, it wasn’t that bad. I and a couple of UTPB students and faculty got to clean fresh eggs and repack them. These eggs came from walmart so some of the eggs were damaged but it was our job to get rid of bad eggs. I had fun doing this because i knew someone in need will be getting the help they need!

So yes i got to order my cap and gown and some announcements for the big day…Graduation! My bosses from work had me pick out my own class ring as a graduation gift, i actually picked out a guy ring because i love big rings! i am so excited to see it. I am a little nervous about graduating only because i feel that much closer to the real world…Wowzer!

Easter weekend is here and i have decided to go to Arlington to visit my family because Target is closed on sunday because of Easter so i get to go home as soon as i get of work on saturday…wowzer! so yea i am now going to get ready to go to work because now my awesome produtive week comes to a holt when i step in to Target!

It is finally the end of the school week for me and tomorrow begins my weekend work week. I pretty much work 7days a week, nuts right? well that’s what i have to do to pay for school lol. I am actually at my first ever job that i got when i came to UTPB, it’s been 4yrs and i love this place. well so this week was not one of my best weeks at all, I simply couldn’t wait for it to end just so that i can really rest. this week i had to pretty but try to get back in the school groove which didn’t really work out too well, i wanted to sleep most of the time. Today was actually my worst day of the week, i woke up feeling like wood pecker was pecking on my school and i also could breathe through my nose. i was late to my Society and Drug class but really i am on time cause i can’t ever seem to make it to that class or i guess any class on time lol. well after that class i headed straight to the admissions office and set my things down because i had to give a tour to 6 graders who had more energy than i did as a 6th grader. The tour was ok, it was hard trying to keep the children quit but ohh well i got through and so did they…i kinda miss them lol. After all that was over i went to my last two classes of the day and now i am at work till six…The end.

Recovery Mode…

Today is the second day back from spring breaking…i have yet to recover. My body hurts, i have lost focus and some how i need to get in to school again because i have a lot to do!

My Spring Break was very awesome, I went back to Vegas because i am just in love with that place. I flew to meet my old high school friend along with her college classmates from UT Austin. We stayed at the Polo Towers which is in between the Planet Hollywood and MGM Grand. My goal while on the strip of vegas was to find out what events took place on St. Patrick’s day, well as i asked around, i finally found out that in NY NY they have a fest!! This was great becasue there was green everywhere and guys were dressed up as Irish men with the read beards and everything, some of the women were dressed up as Irish maids! We took lots of pictures with random people but it was great because everyone was so nice and outgoing!

We had many adventures and nights that turned into mornings. It was now time for us to make the drive back from Vegas to Austin, TX…it was long! We made a a stop in Pheonix, AZ and i bought this sucker which had a worm in it…gross, i have no plans on eating it. We made it to El Paso and satyed the night and made out way to Austin…the drive was getting really old and boring but i realized the scenary was getting quit boring when we got into TX, i mean Arizona, New Mexico and Vegas all had amazing mountains everywhere i looked…i will have to post some pictures becasue they were just amazing!.

ATX was the place to be now because i can now meet up with my college friends who were having their Spring Break there, so in a sense, i suppose i had 2 Breaks…Yahoo!! I stayed in ATX for 2days after our 2day drive to get there from Vegas. It was great because we got to hangout on major live streets with people everywhere! we left on sunday and we got back to odessa around 8 pm. Back to reality. Recovery Mode…must hang in there…

So this is my first post…Yahoo!

I have finally figured out how this blog site…at least i think i have lol. Well, my name is Pauline Botchway, I am a senior here at UTPB. I am a Psychology major and I get to GRADUATE in May…Yahoo!!

Today marks the last day of Spring Break, i am very sad but i did have a great break, wish it was longer than a week but it is ok because i made the very best out of my break! I wasn’t around a computer so i didn’t really get to blog like i was suppose to, i will try to blog one more time today before i go to bed and feel y’all in about my awesome spring breaking adventures!
